One sin is as easy for God to forgive as another. All of our sins, past, present and future, were paid for when Jesus died on the cross. There is no sin so bad that God cannot forgive it completely, but not all sin is equal in regard to the effect it has on us, and our lives. A person may lose her temper and say or do something she regrets; she can admit her failure, receive mercy and move on quickly. A person may commit adultery and destroy his family and still be just as easily forgiven, but it may take him more time to fully recover because of the damage that has been done not only to him, but to his family and others.
