Management is required in all kinds of business and organizational activities. It includes bringing all people in the organization together in such a way that the available resources can be effectively and efficiently tapped. Management consists of various sub processes such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading, controlling members of a group to achieve some specific goal. Resourcing includes deployment and manipulation of human resources, technological resources, natural resources etc. Management is a human action and someone who indulges in this management is called a manager.
Manager has several people under his control and his prime duty is to lead all the people under him effectively so as to realise some common organizational goal. John Doolittle had once said, “Developments in medical technology have long been confined to procedural or pharmaceutical advances, while neglecting a most basic and essential component of medicine: patient information management.” Effective management can prove to be a boon for any organization.
