I still have a dream of one day - I would love to hire a semi-retired contractor and just build a house - him and I building a house for me. I would truly love to do that.

A lot of ball players love the Friday movies, theyre big fans. I can go now to any team and be known now more for the movies than I was ever when I was playing. A lot of the guys have retired now. But I still get calls, congratulating me and that.

Being Tired quotes
I don't get it, I feel that I'm a very nice person. My father is a retired Christian Baptist Minister, my mother is the sweetest person on the planet and I grew up with great morals but people say I have really intense eyes. I don't know how to take that.

A retired teacher paid $62,000 towards her pension and nothing, yes nothing, for full family medical, dental and vision coverage over her entire career. What will we pay her? $1.4 million in pension benefits and another $215,000 in health care benefit premiums over her lifetime.

And I retired isolated in my corner of world again, seeking to understand what is not understood and to know what is not known. What did I found out? That in the place of Everything is this Great Void-Being, on whose shoulders rests our own Life, which is nothing more than a deceitful Image in the Depths of the Great Void-Being, a Destiny

Memorial Day quotes
My parents moved to Los Angeles when I was really young, but I spent every summer with my grandparents, and I'd stay with my grandfather on the farm in Longview. He was retired from the railroad, and he had a small farm with some cows and some pigs. I remember part of my youth was feeding hogs and plowing fields and stuff, so that's apart of me. And my parents raised me to say 'sir' and 'ma'am,' to open doors, things like that. That's the way I was brought up. Also, unfortunately, I was taught not to question too much. I didn't really question my mom and dad. That's usually what they told me to do.

If I had my way books would not be written in English, but in an exceedingly difficult secret language that only skilled professional readers and story-tellers could interpret. Then people like you would have to go to public halls and pay good prices to hear the professionals decode and read the books aloud for you. This plan would have the advantage of scaring off all amateur authors, retired politicians, country doctors and I-Married-a-Midget writers who would not have the patience to learn the secret language.

1 - 2 A long time ago, when all the grandfathers and grandmothers of today were little boys and little girls or very small babies, or perhaps not even born, Pa and Ma and Mary and Laura and Baby Carrie left their little house in the Big Woods of Wisconsin. Laura Ingalls Wilder But in the east the sky was pale and through the gray woods came lanterns with wagons and horses, bringing Grandpa and Grandma and aunts and uncles and cousins. Laura Ingalls Wilder Every job is good if you do your best and work hard. A man who works hard stinks only to the ones that have nothing to do but smell. Laura Ingalls Wilder Everything from the little house was in the wagon, except the beds and tables and chairs. They did not need to take these, because Pa could always make new ones. Laura Ingalls Wilder Far worst of all, the fever had settled in Mary's eyes, and Mary was blind. Laura Ingalls Wilder Her blue eyes were still beautiful, but they did not know what was before them, and Mary herself cou

FOOL, n. A person who pervades the domain of intellectual speculation and diffuses himself through the channels of moral activity. He is omnific, omniform, omnipercipient, omniscience, omnipotent. He it was who invented letters, printing, the railroad, the steamboat, the telegraph, the platitude and the circle of the sciences. He created patriotism and taught the nations war --founded theology, philosophy, law, medicine and Chicago. He established monarchical and republican government. He is from everlasting to everlasting --such as creation's dawn beheld he fooleth now. In the morning of time he sang upon primitive hills, and in the noonday of existence headed the procession of being. His grandmotherly hand was warmly tucked-in the set sun of civilization, and in the twilight he prepares Man's evening meal of milk-and-morality and turns down the covers of the universal grave. And after the rest of us shall have retired for the night of eternal oblivion he will sit up to write a histor
