Effort is of value when you honor your commitment with honesty. Honoring a commitment means that you are doing everything you can do to make it happen, and, at the earliest possible point. Commitment catalyses the effort. On the other hand honesty improves vitality. Being honest with yourself shows how much you really care for your endeavor. It also demonstrates self-respect for your work.
