Legends are those people who have leave an indelible impression on our minds because of their deeds and actions. Legends are always revered for all the great accomplishments that they make in their lifetime. No one becomes a legend over night. Several years of hard work and lots of accomplishments in any field of specialisation can only make someone a legend. Legends die hard and we can never erase them from our minds. In the words of Tecumseh, “When the legends die, the dreams end; there is no more greatness.”
Legend is also a term used for a traditional story from the past which may or may not be definitely true. In the words of Douglas Hyde, “As our language wanes and dies the golden legends of the far-off centuries fade and pass away. No one sees their influence upon culture; no one sees their educational power.”
