I've let a lot of chances pass me by. Sometimes I feared rejection or I just couldn't tell them how I truly felt. But its too late now, too late to tell them how hard I fell for them. Now I'm living in the past, full of regrets and the chances I was afraid to take. Don't end up like me, don't be afraid to take the chance because honestly sometimes you only get one chance and its up to you to take it or not.

You know whats happening over and over now is that young women hear this message and they either postpone or decide not to have babies and then at 33 and 34 and 35 they start to panic and they realize theyve missed an opportunity and its getting very late and there are many childless women today who would love to hold a baby and they were sold a lie. I resent the lies that are being told to the young women that are out there because in twenty years they will regret it, many of them will regret it and it will be too late.

Still the question remains of what actually speaks in a poem, if not subjectivity as historically constructed.

I try not to observe myself in the process of composing a poem because I don't want to come up with a formula, which I would then be unscrupulous in using.
