Traditions are rituals or beliefs that are passed from generation to generation within a society and continue to be followed in the present though they originated in the past. The most unique feature of traditions is that they can persist and evolve for thousands of years. Traditions are something that all of us adhere or stick to while performing any religious activities or ceremonies. All such ceremonies are solemnised keeping in mind all the family traditions, culture and rituals. The traditions are nothing but family values which are not advocated by any writer, poet or artist but are passed from generation to generation. In the words of Dalai Lama, “All major religious traditions carry basically the same message, which is love, compassion and forgiveness the important thing is they should be part of our daily lives.”
