Self sacrifice is defined as the act of sacrificing one’s self or one’s interest for the sake of others. Self sacrifice harbours around self –devotion. For any and everything in this world that is worthwhile, one must pay the price; and the price is always work, self-sacrifice - no paper currency, no promises to pay, but the gold of real service and self-sacrifice. It is only the brave who develop the spirit of self sacrifice. Believe you may but the spirit of self sacrifice creates trust in the power of love and devotion. It teaches us to be compassionate and understanding. No fine piece of work can be done without self sacrifice. All of us, sooner than later, develop the spirit of self sacrifice.
The progress of an artist is but a continual self-sacrifice, a continual extinction of his /her personality. The ‘father of the nation’ Mahatma Gandhi rightly remarked, “Gentleness, self-sacrifice and generosity are the exclusive possession of no one race or religion. “
