The word tolerance can have several meanings or interpretations. The power or capacity of enduring or bearing any calamity or force is called tolerance. The power to tolerate adverse situations is often helpful when the chips are down and when the going gets tough. Tolerance can be defined as the variation from the exact or standard conformity to the specified dimensions as in mechanical operations. In the words of Paul Sweeney, “A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year.” Tolerance is also the power possessed by some people to bear large doses of medicine which might otherwise prove fatal or injurious to a person’s health. According to Scott Hamilton, “Always try to maintain complete tolerance and always make an effort to give people more than they expect.”
