Holy Thursday, The disciples prepare the passover meal, They meet in the upper room, Jesus washes the disciples feet, and they head to the garden of Gethsemane post meal, something that rubs against every law of Jewish culture, but is quintessential Jesus. This is it...the cup won't be passed. Everything Jesus ever said about the Kingdom, Temples, and the empires of men is about to become very real.

Beautiful Friendship quotes
I asked God for a flower, He gave me a garden. Asked for a tree, he gave me a forest. Asked for a river, He gave me an ocean. I asked for a friend, He gave me you.

In spite of all the refinements of society that conspired to make art the dizzying perfection of the string quartet or the sprawling grandeur of Fragonards canvases beauty was savage. It was as dangerous and lawless as the earth had been eons before man had one single coherent thought in his head or wrote codes of conduct on tablets of clay. Beauty was a Savage Garden.

My curfew was the street lights, and my Mom didn't call my cell, she yelled time to come in. I played outside with my friends not online. If I didn't eat what Mom made than I didn't eat. Hand sanitizer didn't exist, but you COULD get your mouth washed out with soap. I rode a bike without a helmet, and getting dirty was OK, and we drank from the garden hose and SURVIVED!

Plant lots of optimistic thoughts and hope will climb the walls of your mind, color coordinate your thoughts; words and actions with sky blue optimism. Keep your mind open like a window so that optimism can waft in out of the blue. What you plant in your mind you will reap in the garden of your life.

It's sweet like the nectarof the garden flower,it's soothing like the buzzing of a bumble bee, it's warm like the rays of the morning sun, it's the search of a love so pure which keeps me on the run. It's the pulse in my vein, the thoughts in my brain, in every breath that I take, the smile my lips make, it's in the twinkle of my eye, till the day I die. Eeven if it's heart searing pain, with nothing to gain, I will feel it as the tear on my cheek, and without words my soul will speak.

I remember when I was a little girl at her house in Brittany. When she cooked, she wouldnt waste anything. And my parents always raised me to believe that the most important thing was respect. Respect the place you live, be aware of the impact that you have on things. I was lucky to have this education growing up. I was born in Paris and raised in the suburbs and then lived in the countryside. We had a beautiful house with a huge garden. When I moved to the country, I was really connected to nature and the seasons. So when I finally went back to Paris, I had a very hard time connecting with the city again and the way we waste so much. I started to read and teach myself about the environment and why it was not organic and natural to be living in the city.

After awhile you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul, and you learn that love doesn't mean possession and company doesn't mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes ahead with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child. And you learn to build your roads today, because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans, and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After awhile you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much so you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure, that you really are strong, and you really do have worth. And you learn . . .and you learn . . .
