Falsehood means the state of being untrue or away from the truth. Falsehood also suggests a lie.
Those people who resort to falsehood cannot be true to others and lie on some pretext or the other. Indulging in falsehood is extremely wrong and one should always stay away from speaking lies. Telling lies is an extremely bad habit.
Falsehood makes a person false at heart and false in his dealings with others. Some who is false to others practices dishonesty and all wrong qualities. In the words of William Shenstone, “A liar begins with making falsehood appear like truth, and ends with making truth itself appear like falsehood.” Accuracy of statement is one of the first elements of truth; and inaccuracy is the next kin to falsehood. Robert Southey had once remarked, “All deception in the course of life is indeed nothing else but a lie reduced to practise, and falsehood passing from words into things.”
