Man, I just knew. When I was in middle school I always used to love listening to rap. The first [song] my pops bought me was U.T.F.Os Roxanne, Roxanne. So ever since I was about five or six years old, I just liked listening to it. Then, when I was about eight or nine, I kinda started doing it for friends in middle school. They liked hearing it.

Before I started rapping, I was into dancing. I felt like God put it on my mind to rap. When I first stepped into the booth and grabbed the mic, it was like he was reminding me what I was put onto this earth to do. I knew then that this was gonna be my career. I sounded good on the mic and all the feedback was great. I just knew that this was supposed to be my life.

In fifth grade I started out writing simple raps and bringing them to school and everyone thought they were hot. I used to spit in the lunchline all the time. I think I even got free milk out of it one time. I remember I had to do a project on a book we read in my 6th grade language arts class. I wrote a rap. I got an A. I guess I've been a beast since day one.

Truly man, let's make it happen. Yo, that is a number one hit across the world. That's the real. It is what it is though. It's real. That's the way it's going down, with the Radio One rap show. Never seen 'Meth' as good as that. Right that's the way it's going. It's going to be up there. Yeh man, and also, yeh man. People is really feeling that, so that should be real flavour.

In terms of the revolution, I believe that the revolution will be a revolution of dispossessed people in this country: that's the Mexican American, the Puerto Rican American, the American Indian, and black people.

God When I was alone, and had nothing I asked for a friend to help me bear the pain No one came, except God When I needed a breath to rise, from my sleep No one could help me.. except God When all I saw was sadness, and I needed answers No one heard me, except God So when I'm asked.. who I give my unconditional love to? I look for no other name, except God

I don't have to say 'Rap it up' every two seconds, or 'Don't do drugs' every two seconds. They know they're not supposed to use drugs, and they know they're supposed to put a condom on.

I wanted to write some lyrics that had some meaning to them, lyrics that were meaningful to me and hopefully people can take something from that.

People probably thought, Oh, they're not going to do the heavy lyrics now because of what happened. Man, those lyrics mean a lot more to me now.

Our Hip-Hop is different from the commercial Hip-Hop of today. You don't have a lot of artists drawing today the way they supposed to draw. Everybody is just making bubble gum rap, good commercial music, but at the end of the day we make albums and we stay authentic all day.

One of the hardest things about writing lyrics is to make the lyrics sit on the music in such a way that you're not aware there was a writer there.

Removing an evil ni... spirit from a negro is as hard as removing stink from a hunk of shit. We must use the tools that white God gave us to fight the ni.... Avoid conversation with the ni.... The ni... will lie, the ni... will make excuses, he will use words he doesnt know. If he gets really desperate, he may start to rap or dance. OOOOH YES, theres powerful ni...dry at work here! -Uncle Ruckus

I'm trying to prove everybody wrong whoever told me I couldn't make it. To all the haters who say I can't rap and I will never make it. I'm going to show them. And plus I make music for the crowd to dance and get crunk too. I make my tracks from the heart. And I think I'm bringing that new "SUPER FRESH" style to the game that don't nobody got yet. I see they snappin and dancing. But I got that "SUPER FRESH" style to top it off. So I'm coming just watch me!
