Risks are associated with each activity that one takes up which might have an undesirable outcome. Potential losses or setbacks associated with any activity are called risks. Risks have to be taken at times, when you feel that there is nothing to lose and the ball is in your court. You can roll the dice the way you want. Every human endeavour and activity carries some amount of risk, but some activities are potentially more dangerous and risky than others. Risks are defined as potential possibilities of loss, injury and other adverse circumstances. In the words of Gary Ryan Blair, “Creative risk taking is essential to success in any goal where the stakes are high. Thoughtless risks are destructive, of course, but perhaps even more wasteful is thoughtless caution which prompts inaction and promotes failure to seize opportunity.”
