Heaven according to the Christian Mythology is a place where God lives and where all good people go, after they die. Heaven is supposed to be the residency of God and the abode of all the good souls or the angels. In contrast to heaven, hell is the abode of all the impish and evil souls. Heaven sometimes refers to the sky, itself. Heaven can also be used to indicate a state or feeling of extreme happiness and pleasure. Ignorance is the curse of God, while knowledge is the wing with which we can fly to heaven. Heaven means to be one with God. People consider marriage neither heaven nor hell, but simply purgatory.
In the words of Benjamin Franklin, “We are more thoroughly an enlightened people, with respect to our political interests, than perhaps any other under heaven. Every man among us reads, and is so easy in his circumstances as to have leisure for conversations of improvement and for acquiring information.”
