If two people are connected by some circumstances of birth, they are said to be relatives. Relatives are each other’s kith and kin who form the basic and fundamental units of the society called “families”. We have a different relationship with each of our relatives. These relationships bind us together with our relatives and near and dear ones. Our relatives can be our uncles, cousins, aunts etc. We might share some common personality traits with each of our relatives. Relatives have some characteristics in common. We must respect our relatives and gel with them so as to bring out the latent strength of our relationships. In the words of Keith Henson, “Fighting hard to protect yourself and your relatives is good for your genes, but when captured and escape is not possible, giving up short of dying and making the best you can of the new situation is also good for your genes.”
